IT Trends is Socitm's annual survey, published in January, of Heads of ICT and other senior managers in local authorities who control or influence ICT spending.
The survey report is based on responses to a lengthy questionnaire sent to heads of ICT in the 475 local authorities of England, Northern Ireland, Wales and Scotland. Surveys are also sent to selected police forces, fire services and other public bodies. Benchmark Data provided by Socitm members and pay data are also used. Generally, over 200 authorities contribute to the report each year.
