Planning for ICT (Version 2) is a complete revision if our advice on ICT strategy, replacing the first version from June 2004. It is critical that guidance on ICT strategy is updated from time to time to reflect the increasing importance of investment in technology as part of the drive to transform services at all levels. The new guidance follows on from our report on ICT governance, and introduces the Socitm information architecture. The guidance comprises a linked set of three separate guides covering the process of developing strategy, the service framework and the information and technology architectures. There is also a separate executive briefing and wall chart. All three reports can be accessed below.
