Vicky Sargent is Socitm's marketing consultant, managing all aspects of the Society's marketing communications; including corporate communications; press and PR; promotion of the Society's events and activities; brand guardianship; and print and web communications.  She is also a director of Boilerhouse Communications, a marketing communications consultancy which works a wide range of public and private sector organisations.  Within the public sector, clients include government departments and agencies; local authorities, and skills and training organisations.  Apart from Socitm, current and recent clients include the British Council, London Connects, Bedfordshire County Council, EasyConnects, Cheshire County Council, the Hampshire e-government Partnership, and BP Shipping.  Following an early career in advertising (PA Advertising), PR consultancy (Shandwick PR), and trade association management, Vicky set up her own consultancy in 1992, which has since become Boilerhouse Communications.
