David has an outstanding track record as a senior manager and public sector ICT strategist. Formerly ICT Director at Edinburgh City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council, David's most recent role was Senior Advisor in the Improvement & Development Agency. He was elected President of Socitm in 1995, served as a Director of Socitm Services Ltd and chaired Socitm Insight for several years. David has a doctorate in mathematics, an MBA in business studies and has acted as a consultant to many local authorities throughout the UK. As Interim Director David will assist the Board in implementing the organisational changes proposed for the Society.
