'Nine to five' working is history!  Technology enables better approaches, with impressive benefits for employers and employees.  The business case is compelling, and flexible working directly addresses issues at the top of the public sector agenda such as the efficiency review and transformation. Reports from the Socitm benchmarking service show that flexible working in the public sector is growing at an astonishing rate and the direction setting workshop for this report drew a huge response from our Socitm Insight subscribers.

The report includes a detailed case study from Surrey County Council, and other case studies from: Castle Morpeth Borough Council; Hampshire County Council; Hertfordshire County Council; and Test Valley Borough Council. In addition, there are case studies from British Airways, the Department of Trade and Industry and the Nat West Tower.
