Description

Associated with government targets for online services, 2005 was a landmark year for the public sector. Substantial numbers of local authorities and others have committed themselves to benchmarking the performance of their ICT service. This enables them to demonstrate, irrespective of how it is provided, to all concerned, (decision-makers, service managers, inspectors and  local communities as a whole) a credible and robust service that will underpin the improvement through ICT of all frontline services.

In this summary we report the levels of  performance achieved across the UK in 2005. The report summarises the results for Groups 23 to 27 that have been completed in 2005. The results are analysed by type of organisation and summarised for the UK, They cover investment in ICT (KPIs 14, 90), quality of service (KPIs 1, 2, 3, 15), cost-efficiency (KPIs 4, 5, 6, 7, 15) and accessibility (KPI 10).
