Some popular pages and where to find them

Calendar - use the tab on the top navigation. Here you will find links to the events listing and Socitm's diary of internal events eg National Council meetings.

Contact us - use the tab on the top navigation.

Insight publications - go to the library where you will find a link to all Insight resources.

Insight publications to download - when in the library click on a report title in the listing. This will take you to the report description. Scrolling down you will see a link to 'download this item.' You will have to enter your Insight subscriber username and password to access the material. 

Join Socitm - find the 'join us' tab on the top navigation. The page is located in the membership section.

National Council minutes and AGM (members only) - under 'About us' and then 'Governance and management' you will find National Council minutes to download and members will see the AGM pages.

Ordering Insight publications - you can go straight to the order form for Insight orders via the library and clicking on ordering publications. The description page for each publication also contains a link to the order form.

Short courses (Socitm Learning events) - the full range of short courses can be accessed through the professional development section. Up and coming short courses can be accessed via the events section (view by event type and then choose short course).

Socitm Consulting - access via the orange banner found in the right hand column on every page. The Consulting pages are located in the services section.

Socitm Insight - access via the blue banner found in the right hand column on every page. The Insight pages are located in the services section. 

Socitm publications (and other materials like presentations) - access via the library. Click on a title and this will take you to the item description. Scrolling down you will see a link to 'download this item.' Some materials are restricted and you will have to enter your Socitm member username and password to access the material. Where relevant you will see a link to order this item.

Subscribe to Insight - this can be found under the Socitm Insight page (click the blue banner found on the right of every page) within the Services section. It can also be accessed via the membership section.

What information is contained within each section?

About us - contains information about Socitm, and the governance and management of the Society.  Also NC minutes and AGM/elections information (members only).

Activity groups - contains information about how Socitm's activity groups work and include:

• Fire Group
• International Group
• Member Services Group
• Performance Management Group (PMG)
• Police Group
• Socitm Consulting
• Socitm Information Age Group (SIAG)
• Socitm Insight

Events - contains information about the annual conference and spring seminar, information for sponsors and exhibitors and a list of events with further details. Please note that this section does not list internal meetings. These will be found within the About us section under diary.

Membership - contains information about joining the society, membership categories, benefits, and for members only, contains a searchable membership database. Information about subscribing to Socitm Insight can also be accessed from here.

News - contains news stories, broadcasts, newsletters, press releases, a list of key contacts, and a number of newsfeeds from external organisations.

Professional development - contains information about schemes to help members with their professional development. These include: Continuous Professional Development Scheme, Graham Williamson Challenge, MBA scheme, Mentoring scheme, short courses, and job vacancies.

Regions - contains information about the twelve Socitm regions, including regional news and future events (details of past events can be found under 'past events' in the Events section).

Services - contains information on Socitm's services including website services, benchmarking services, the Socitm KPIs and  services from Socitm Insight and Socitm Consulting.

Transformation - Currently under construction

Library - contains reports, presentations, surveys and other material. Where relevant these can be ordered. Materials can also be downloaded, although some may require you to be a Socitm Insight subscriber or a Socitm member.

GovXchange - this is a link to GovXchange a new information and networking resource.
