- A full overview of the new iSCAN security training and qualification accessible training and certification for ICT workers in the public sector, offering a career path, in line with IT Professionalism, SFIA, NIAS, IG Toolkit, Records management, Information Management, Information Security, NeSDS.
- Explanation of iSCAN levels of training:
- Level 0 – User level (ECDL type training)
- Level 1 – Technician level (based around ISO27001)
- Level 2 – Team Leader level (ITIL)
- Level 3 – Manager level (COBIT)
Condensed iSCAN level 3 course. The course will cover the core modules. Those attending this pilot course will be able to take an iSCAN level 3 examination later in the year and will subject to passing be awarded an iSCAN level 3 qualification.

Tutor
Mark Brett is the Activity Manager for Socitm's Performance Management Group and the Socitm Learning Manager. Mark worked for 21 years in Local Government, with experience in ICT, Housing and Emergency Planning. His specialist interests include partnership working, information security and business continuity management. Other involvement with Socitm includes SIAG, the Insight Steering Group and the London branch executive. Mark holds a Masters Research degree in Local Government Studies from North London University.
