The Society is piloting a new approach to our national events in which we hold one national, flagship event a year (our Autumn conference, this year 12-14 October at Celtic Manor, Newport) and several smaller, regional and special interest events, coordinated across the Society. The first of these was a very successful one day conference on local government transformation run by Socitm Insight on 17 January. As a result of this policy change, Socitm will not be holding the Spring Seminar traditionally held at the end of April.
However, Socitm will be involved in running a one day event on April 24 at the British Library in London. Hitting the Spot: engaging with your customers is a collaboration between Socitm and SPIN (the Society of Public Information Networks) that will focus on issues around customer access and engagement, with specific reference to the local authority website.
