The event, which is being sponsored by Siemens will include sessions from: 

 

Ian Glover (Siemens) who will review instant messaging and its potential impact on aiding Green IT. Ian's previous presentations to the region have been particularly well received, so this one is eagerly awaited.  

 

Socitm's own Terry Street wil cover the green impact of IT from initial production to displosal of equipment.

 

Patricia Pascoe of Kyocera Mita will show how it's not easy being green,and challenges the idea that environmentally friendly does not mean more expensive.

 

Duncan Smith from Icompli will tell us how to manage Illicit Images in the workplace - this promises to be a lively sesion wit some interesting case studies.

 

The Sandy Park Conference Centre, where we had our last event, was very well received so we are returning there. This is part of the Exeter Chief's new Rugby stadium, as it is (in their own word's) "Exeter's Premier Conference and Banqueting Venue".

 

In the afternoon we will discuss feedback fom the recent survey on ITIL and plans for further developing the Academy, and wil also discuss possible plans for Professionalism within the Society.
